My first saman...

Hello blog. It's been a while...

I just renewed my road-tax and car insurance a few days ago. Although I had to spend quite a bit of cash, I was actually more concerned about something else. I was worried about my saman (traffic ticket/summon)...hahah. My first saman... I was not sure what to do and the fact that having to go to police station to pay the saman just frightened me more.

At first, I though I would have to settle the saman first before I could renew my road-tax. Or else, the road-tax renewal application would be denied. So, I asked around...

1. My current housemate:-
When i asked her whether she has gotten any saman before, she said "yes" but she could not remember. According to her, it happened many years ago and she never even bothers to pay the saman. One thing for sure, she claimed that she never had any problems when renewing her road-tax
2. My labmate:-
He is a good driver.
He had never gotten any saman before :)

3. My ex-housemate (Mas):-
Mas gave me a very useful website (MyEG)
Well. the pic below is from the MyEG website.

Eventhough this website is very useful, it might not be very helpful in my case. The reason is I received my saman roughly a year ago. Therefore, it is too late for me to be eligible for the discounts offered by the PDRM

4. My brother:-
When I was asked by my brother whether I want to pay or not, I replied "No, I prefer to pay it later". Seriously, I am not sure how much "later" it would be. But, the later the better ;p. Moreover, if I can somehow get to pay my saman at a discounted rate, then that would be so much better! My brother suggested that I should just try to renew my road-tax first. If problem occurs, only then I should settle my saman.

I went to renew my road-tax and car insurance several days ago. Two days later, the insurance agent who was helping me out gave me a phone call. Guess what? My road-tax has been renewed ^__^

I am glad! Thanks a lot...

aiyo so cute la u iza...there's two ways to sort it. first, go pay within a week and get 50% off, if you buat muka kesian, bodek, etc, you can get 75%. second, throw the saman away. the worst is u'll only get a 'warning' letter from the issuing saman department, but that u can also choose to ignore. :P saman is by bandaraya, so it does not interfere with jpj road tax renewal
